Explore the fall wonders of a natural L.I. habitat which includes marine bay, tidal river, freshwater streams, ponds, salt marsh and much more; this will be an easy paced hike exploring two trails along the Carman’s River; you can drop out after the first trail (3 miles); heavy rain will cancel; pack a lunch and we will eat at the picnic tables; from NY 27 Exit 57S, go south to Montauk Hwy., left to light at Smith Road, right about ½ mile to Refuge entrance on right; or NY 27 Exit 58S, right on Montauk to Smith Road, left to Refuge.
