We will meet at Westbrook Sports Complex and follow the Greenbelt along West Brook to the catwalk under Sunrise Hwy. and into Connetquot River State Park Preserve, with a stop at the hatchery for a restroom break; heavy rain will cancel; eastbound: Southern State Pkwy. to Exit 45E; Montauk Highway; go through traffic signal, then approximately ½ mile to LIRR overpass; entrance to access road is after crossing the bridge at the bottom on left (you’ll see baseball fields on left after turn); westbound: NY 27 to service road at Islip Terrace/North Great River (just past the “Oakdale Merge”); stay on service road a short distance to Connetquot Ave.; go south to Montauk Hwy. and east to Westbrook.
